By car:
From East, West or North: come to Lawrence on I-70 (Kansas Turnpike-toll road-$1.40 to Lawrence from Kansas City). Take the West Lawrence Exit 202 (US Highway 59). Go South (the only direction you may proceed) on Highway 59 past the Holiday Inn on your left, go through the underpass and, after you merge onto Iowa Street, look immediately to your right (west side of the road) for the Quality Inn, just before 9th Street, no more than one mile from the turnpike.

From the South: Come into Lawrence on US 59. Keep going North on Iowa Street (US 59) past the University, then just pass 9th Street. The Quality Inn is to your left.

On K-10 from Kansas City: K-10 becomes 23rd Street. Continue going West on 23rd until you arrive at Iowa Street (US 59.) Turn right (North) on Iowa Street (US 59) past the University, then just pass 9th Street. The Quality Inn is to your left.

Arriving on campus:
The University of Kansas is off Iowa Street (US 59) at 15th (Bob Billings Parkway). Turn East on 15th, go past the dormitories, and go down the hill (still on 15th). When you arrive at the stop sign, you will see Murphy Hall (the Music and Dramatic Arts building) in front of you and to your right. Turn right (South) onto Naismith Drive and note the parking lot to your right, across the street from Murphy Hall. Keep turning right to enter the parking lot. Enter Murphy Hall through the glass doors on the west side of the building that face the parking lot. The reception/registration desk, visible from this entrance, will be in the hallway directly across from the snack bar, in front of Swarthout Recital Hall, where much of the conference will take place.

Visitor parking tags will be included in the registration packet. Those driving straight to the conference site should initially park in the surface lot to the west of Murphy Hall as described above. Registrants will need to return immediately to their vehicles and place their permits on their mirrors. Short-term parking not covered by the visitor tags is also available ($1 per hour) in the covered parking garage to the south of the surface parking lot.
